Reaping the Harvest of Work-Based Learning

Abstract

This paper presents a sociocultural approach to prior learning portfolio development, including a discussion of the unique characteristics of work-based learning and the challenges they present to the portfolio process. Strategies are described for eliciting adult students’ work-based learning.
