Abstract

PROSPECTS is a global partnership that aims to improve the access of host communities and forcibly displaced people to education, social protection, and decent work opportunities. PROSPECTS activities focus on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as a way to make refugees and host community members skills visible to employers to support their economic empowerment and social inclusion. This challenging work includes  developing and strengthening RPL frameworks and policies. The work is complemented by institutional strengthening and capacity building for RPL professionals and work downstream to pilot qualification recognition and RPL processes. The partnership focuses on sectors with high refugee employment, such as construction and industry.
