Lambe’s “The Prior Learning Essay”
Abstract
Jeffrey Lambe, mentor in the Social and Behavioral Sciences at SUNY Empire State College, New York, USA, introduces his resource:
“What follows is my attempt to create a simple prior learning assessment (PLA) guide that ‘takes the mystery’ out of the PLA process. This guide was designed to assist State University of New York (SUNY) Empire State College students to describe and document their experiential knowledge and skills and, potentially, to obtain college credit for their ‘prior learning.’”
